Community Friends
We love to support other local people doing what they love, so we try to get involved with people in our community that we feel we can benefit from teaming up with. One of our favorites is the local roller derby team, Crow City Roller Girls! Did you even know we had a roller derby team in Chatham?! (Check them out by clicking their name above and it will navigate you to their Facebook page.)
We have loved the Crow City girls ever since they started their league just over a year ago, and we always wanted to stay involved and help each other out whenever we can. When they started neither Kendall or I had the time to commit to the team, but now Grotesque Burlesques own, Haleigh, has joined the team. Just another reason for us to love them more than we already do!
We have gone to events they have held and had our products out for display, and we were always shown a great time by the ladies.
We also supplied them with rockin' roller skate necklaces last year! The lovely lady who started the league here gave a necklace to every girl on her team. So sweet! Here is what the necklace looks like:

CK Etsy Team
Hi all!
We love to be involved in the community, and one of the ways we do this is by being a member of the CK Etsy Team! If you haven't heard of Etsy, it is a website that anyone can set up a virtual shop on and sell thier handmade goods. It is an amazing website, but use with caution as it can be dangerous to your bank account! ;D
The CK Etsy Team is a group of people in Chatham-Kent who have Etsy shops. We meet up every few months to discuss sales, business ideas and much more! We usually do events together, and it is a really great opportunity to meet new people, and have a chance to be more exposed.
Being a part of the CK Etsy Team has been so amazing for us, and we've made so many great friends along the way.

We thought it would be a good idea to show you who is behind Grotesque Burlesque. There are two of us here running Grotesque Burlesque, Kendall and Haleigh.
The lovely lady on the left is Kendall, and on the right is Haleigh. We have been friends for almost 6 years now, and business partners for just over a year. We both share a love for all things creepy and cute, and decided to share that love with everyone else! If you ever see us out and about in town please feel free to say hello!

Welcome to the new blog for Grotesque Burlesque! If you've never heard of us before, we are a small business located in Chatham, Ontario. We specialize in creepy-cute hair accessories, jewelry, and other fun things such as pillows, sunglasses and more!
We are just two creepy gals (Haleigh and Kendall) who got tired of always having to order our accessories online, or travel far and wide to find something that we loved. We always talked about how fantastic it would be to be able to go somewhere local and find the things that we want to wear. We decided there was no time like the present to make our dream happen!
